The MDF pottery bat with removable insert is designed for potters who want more flexibility while wheel throwing, trimming and drying their work. It features a 12-inch round MDF bat with a removable 6-inch square insert that can be lifted out with your pottery piece.

Removable Insert for Easier Pottery Handling

The removable square insert creates a flush, stable throwing surface when fitted into the centre of the bat. Once your piece is ready to be moved, simply lift the insert out with the piece still on it.

This makes it easier to:

• Move freshly thrown pottery
• Access the underside of a piece for trimming
• Allow airflow underneath pieces while drying
• Set finished pieces aside without disturbing their shape
• Continue throwing on the outer bat surface
